Jones Park: AGES 5–6, from 9 a.m. to noon - Held Tuesday through Friday featuring a variety of themed nature subjects and held mostly outdoors, camp sessions include ranger talks, guided nature walks through the forest, and visits to the ponds, swamps, and Spring Creek.   • 2015 Summer Break Camp @ The Houston Arboretum & NatureCenter - Fun-filled week long camps that explore the natural world through active hands-on indoor and outdoor adventures and hikes at this 155-acre nature sanctuary. Children are taught in classes by age: (5 & 6 yrs., 7 & 8 yrs., and 9-12 yrs.).   • Premier Sharpening: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm @ The Arbor Gate, 15635 FM 2920, Tomball, TX; (281) 351-8851.  Premier Sharpening will bring their mobile sharpening setup to The Arbor Gate! Bring in your pruners, kitchen knives, pizza cutters, shears, hand pruners, shovels, axes, machetes, and other tools. Sharpening runs about $1 per inch of blade for knives, and between $5 and $10 for tools.
  • “Summer Sale” at Mercer Arboretum & Botanic Gardens located just south of Spring at 22306 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX 77338. This sale will include a wide range of natives, old roses, and much more, but will be specializing in tropicals and gingers.
