THROW BACK THURSDAY - This client in The Woodlands has been in their home for 17 years. While the original landscape was great that long ago, it had become overgrown...
- There were large bare areas and also holes where plants had died.
- Tree roots had lifted the sidewalk in places, making it treacherous to walk on.
- Guests parked in the over-sized driveway but walked in the grass to the bed and then fought their way through shrubs in order to get to the front door.
We began by replacing the original sidewalk and adding a pathway from the driveway to their front porch. Then removed all but a few of the original plantings and transplanted several nice specimens to better locations. The new sidewalk meanders through the bed of roses - drift, knockout and antique, along with flowering shrubs and many different perennials that will keep flowers in the garden beds all year long. As a final touch we added a water feature along the new path highlighting a beautiful window.
Living Expression Landscapes chose colors that would accent the beauty of their home and that, for the most part, would stay low so their lovely home could be admired.
